Family and Friends Carers Survey
Mentor has been working with kinship carers for the last 6 years, first as part of our Grandparent’s project and latterly on the EU Kinship Carers Project.
We’ve learnt a huge amount from listening to what grandparents and other family members who are looking after children have to say about what their lives are like; and we hope that our resources and campaigning on the issue has helped to raise the profile of this important group of carers and what needs to be done to help them support the children they love.
Mentor is an active member of the Kinship Care Alliance, which brings together a range of organisations who campaign on issues of importance to kinship carers.
As part of that work the Family Rights Group are carrying out a survey of family and friends carers (kinship carers). We ask that if you are a kinship carer that you take part in the survey which will help the Alliance to bring your voice to the table with politicians and civil servants.
