  1. Dear team, I’d like to alert you to the launch of the first part of our study ‘ Your Family: Your Voice’ on kinship care in the UK. In the first stage we have analysed the 2001 census data and this report is now available on our web site. In the second stage we are interviewing 80 kinnship carers and young people asking about their lives, stresses and supports. best wishes Julie

  2. Hi Julie, yes we saw that and it’s really great to start to be able to put a realistic figure to the numbers of kinship carers there are in the UK.

I really look forward to reading your second report and seeing how it compares to the findings we made about the issues in the lives of the carers we’ve been working with across Europe.

  3. Hi there,
I’d like to tell you about Foster Families Magazine, a lifestyle magazine offering support and advice to foster carers. You can sample and download the magazine here: http://fosterfamilies.co.uk/download.html. It would be a great resource for your kinship carers. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more.
